How to use your Crushgrind® grinder
A Crushgrind® grinder is versatile and can be used to grind salt, pepper, and most dried spices and herbs. Whole spices retain their aroma and flavor until ground, releasing their essential oils. For best results, store your whole spices in a cool, dark place to maintain their freshness and potency for years.
Fully Adjustable Settings
Turn clockwise for a finer grind.
Turn anticlockwise for a coarser grind.
Cleaning Instructions
To maintain optimal performance, it is important to clean your Crushgrind® grinder regularly.
Exterior: Wipe with a damp cloth.
Interior: Grinding directly over the stove can cause spice dust—especially salt—to accumulate inside the grinder. Clean the interior regularly.
There are three easy ways to clean your Crushgrind® grinder:
1. Cleaning with a brush
Unscrew the adjustment wheel and remove the ceramic cone. Use a stiff brush
to clean both the grinder stone and the cone.
2. Cleaning with water
If necessary, immerse the ceramic cone in warm water to dissolve any remaining residue. Ensure that all ceramic parts are completely dry—allow at least 24 hours—before reassembling and using the grinder again.
3. Cleaning with salt
If you want to use your grinder for a different spice, we recommend grinding some coarse salt through your grinder. This will remove spice residues and clean the ceramic parts.
We do not recommend putting your grinder in the dishwasher.
Handle with care; dropping the grinder may cause damage.
