Mats - Toothbrush Rag Knot Table Mats
Toothbrush Rag Knot Rugs (also called Amish Rag Rugs) are made from recycling old bed sheets.
The Amish would cut off the bristle end of the brush and sand it to a point. This gave them a needle to work with to make their rugs. This leads to the understanding of the name “toothbrush rag rug.”
These table mats have been handcrafted by a local lady here on the Limestone Coast using the time old tradition of the Toothbrush Rag Knot Rug manufacturing process.
These beautiful table mats are a practical addition to enhance any home kitchen. By repurposing this old bed linen it’s another creative way to keep used textiles out of landfill.
